What is the difference between TENCEL Lyocell and Modal (or Beech Fabric)?
TENCEL Lyocell and Modal are both made by the same European Fiber manufacturer - Lenzing. The big difference in a nutshell is that TENCEL Lyocell is processed in such a way that it is considered to be very eco Friendly. Tencel/Lyocell comes from eucalyptus trees whereas modal comes from beech trees. In our opinion TENCEL Lyocell is a far superior product in its hand and special characteristics - especially being eco friendly. Our TENCEL Lyocell is made to an extremely high quality standard using superior Asian finishing versus typical Indian/Pakistani Modal production.

Are there any special care needs or tips for TENCEL Lyocell?
Besides the usual sheet washing standards - we recommend not washing with rough materials - like towels. TENCEL Lyocell has such an amazingly smooth finish that this will help protect and prolong it wash after wash. One of our product testers has used and washed the same pair appx 30 times and it still has an amazing hand.

Why is TENCEL Lyocell great for consumers with sensitive skin?
There are a few things at work with this miracle fabric - it is incredibly smooth - much more so then cotton. It is amazing at wicking away moisture - so less skin irritation. It feels silky and cool to the touch, certainly making you think better? TENCEL Lyocell also is antimicrobial like Bamboo fabric (but with much better softness and durability). If you suffer with eczema and Psoriasis then you need to treat your skin right and if nothing else use TENCEL Lyocell sheets.

Is high thread count important for TENCEL Lyocell bedding?
No, this is one unique characteristic of TENCEL Lyocell that most consumers are not used to when compared with the 600, 800 and 1,000 thread count sheet sets you can find at a mass retailer. Well the big difference is that because TENCEL Lyocell is so smooth on a micro level that you do not need the artificially high thread counts to have an amazing feeling product. One of our favorite sheet sets features a relatively low thread count of 310 - but try wrestling it away from us ?.
